What is outreach support?
Independence, without moving home
Not everyone needs — or wants — to move into supported living. Our new outreach service will bring our experienced team to the person, wherever they live: in the family home, in their own flat, or out and about in Romsey and beyond.
Support is planned around each person's goals. For some that's a few hours a week to get to college, the shops or a club. For others it's regular help at home building the everyday skills that make a more independent life possible.
What we can help with
Support shaped around the person
Every plan is different. These are some of the things outreach support often includes.
Social life & activities
Clubs, hobbies, the gym, the cinema, meeting friends — building a social life and a place in the community.
Daily-living skills
Cooking, cleaning, laundry and the routines of running a home, with prompting or hands-on help as needed.
Money & organisation
Budgeting, paying bills, keeping track of appointments and managing post and paperwork.
Health & wellbeing
Support with medication, healthy routines and attending health appointments, including more complex needs.
Confidence & communication
Patient, person-led support for both verbal and non-verbal individuals, at a pace that suits them.

Who is outreach support for?
Young adults with learning disabilities, autism and related needs — including ADHD, epilepsy and Down's syndrome — who live in their family home or their own place and would benefit from support at home or in the community.
Which areas do you cover?
We're based in Romsey, Hampshire and support people in Romsey and the surrounding area. If you're not sure whether we can reach you, just ask.
How many hours of support can I have?
It's flexible. Support is planned around each person — from a few hours a week to more regular visits — and can change over time as needs and goals change.
How is outreach support funded?
Outreach support can often be funded through a local authority care package, a personal budget or direct payments, or paid for privately. We're happy to talk you through the options.
Do you have to live in one of your homes?
No. Outreach is for people living anywhere in our area — that's the point of it. And if supported living becomes the right next step later on, we can help with that too.
When does the service start?
